What we collect

When you contact us through a form, book a call, message us in chat, or sign up for something, we collect your name, your email address, and whatever else you choose to share about your project. If you apply for a role with us, we also collect your phone number and any links you send.

When you browse the site, we and our analytics tools collect technical and usage data. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you got here, and how you move around the site.

How we use it

We use your data to reply to you, quote on work, deliver projects, keep the site running well, send you emails you asked for, and meet our tax and legal obligations. We rely on your consent where the law requires it, on our contract with you where we are working together, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in running the business. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We use necessary cookies to keep the site working, analytics cookies to understand how it is used, and functional cookies for chat, booking, and video. Analytics cookies only load if you accept them in the banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies in your browser.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the service providers listed above, with our accountants and advisors where needed, with production partners working on your project, and with authorities where the law requires it.

Where your data goes

We are based in Romania. Some of our providers process data in the United States. When personal data leaves the European Economic Area it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard allowed under the GDPR.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to two years after the last contact, client and accounting records for as long as Romanian law requires, job applications for a year, and analytics data for as long as each tool is set to hold it.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable providers. Our team accesses personal data only where a task requires it.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or get it in a portable format. Email hey@videodeck.co and we will reply within a month.

If you are in the United States, depending on your state you may have similar rights to know, access, delete, and correct your data, and to not be treated differently for asking. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross context behavioural advertising.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Romanian supervisory authority ANSPDCP at dataprotection.ro, or to the authority where you live. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.

Children

This is a business site. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

We update this policy when our tools or practices change. The date at the top shows the current version.
