This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit videodeck.co, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Videodeck Studio SRL is a video production company based in Romania. We run videodeck.co and we are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect

When you contact us through a form, book a call, message us in chat, or sign up for something, we collect your name, your email address, and whatever else you choose to share about your project. If you apply for a role with us, we also collect your phone number and any links you send.

When you browse the site, we and our analytics tools collect technical and usage data. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you got here, and how you move around the site.

How we use it

We use your data to reply to you, quote on work, deliver projects, keep the site running well, understand how people find and use the site, measure whether our ads lead to booked calls, send you emails you asked for, and meet our tax and legal obligations. We rely on your consent where the law requires it, on our contract with you where we are working together, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in running and growing the business. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Tools we use

We use third party services to run the site and our business. Each one may receive some data about you, and each has its own privacy policy.

We also use the OpenAI ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel to see whether people who click our ads in ChatGPT go on to book a call.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies to keep the site working, analytics cookies to understand how it is used, functional cookies for chat, booking, and video, and an advertising pixel from OpenAI that tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads in ChatGPT goes on to book a call. These load when you visit the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, use Google's opt out browser add on for Google Analytics, or email hey@videodeck.co to object to this use of your data.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the service providers listed above, with our accountants and advisors where needed, with production partners working on your project, and with authorities where the law requires it.

Where your data goes

We are based in Romania. Some of our providers process data in the United States. When personal data leaves the European Economic Area it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard allowed under the GDPR.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to two years after the last contact, client and accounting records for as long as Romanian law requires, job applications for a year, and analytics data for as long as each tool is set to hold it.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable providers. Our team accesses personal data only where a task requires it.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or get it in a portable format. Email hey@videodeck.co and we will reply within a month.

If you are in the United States, depending on your state you may have similar rights to know, access, delete, and correct your data, and to not be treated differently for asking. We do not sell personal information. We use an OpenAI advertising pixel only to measure the results of our own ads, not to build profiles of you or target you with ads across other sites. To opt out, email hey@videodeck.co.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Romanian supervisory authority ANSPDCP at dataprotection.ro, or to the authority where you live. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.

Children

This is a business site. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

We update this policy when our tools or practices change. The date at the top shows the current version.
